<p class="p2"><span class="s1"> </span><span class="s2">Welcome Trey Handsome</span><span class="s1"> </span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">The name is Trey Handsome, and honestly we couldn't have picked a more fitting one. </span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">This adorable little guy may only have three legs, but don't bother telling him that because Trey is far too busy living life, chasing tennis balls, collecting cuddles, and proving every single day that his missing leg doesn't slow him down one bit.</span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">At just 19 pounds, he's the perfect pint-sized sidekick. You'll occasionally catch him attempting some questionable bulldog parkour, but he's much more "carried prince" than "hiking buddy." Being scooped up, snuggled, and doted on is exactly the lifestyle he prefers. </span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">Trey is a sweet, loyal little love bug with a gentle soul. He's doing great with potty training, loves kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and settles into family life with ease. He has a low to medium energy level, making him just as happy to curl up beside you as he is to head outside for a game of fetch. Tennis balls are his absolute favorite, and despite having only three legs, he plays with the enthusiasm of any four-legged pup</span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">Like any youngster, Trey still needs continued guidance and consistency as he grows. He's discovered that the back of a sneaker makes an excellent chew toy (for reasons known only to Trey), so having appropriate toys and a family committed to teaching him good puppy manners will help him become the very best boy.</span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">As a tripod bulldog, Trey is looking for a family committed to keeping him healthy for years to come. Maintaining a lean weight, supporting his joints, and preventing unnecessary wear and tear will help him continue living his best life.</span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, happily join you for a game of fetch, and then curl up beside you for the evening, Trey Handsome is ready to steal your heart. </span></p> <p class="p2"><strong><span class="s2">Lovely boi is heartworm positive, so he must stay close to our Austin vets for his treatment.</span></strong></p> <p class="p2"><strong><span class="s3"><em>Don't worry; heartworm infection is way LESS scary than it sounds, and our team will cover the cost of and provide all</em> guidance for his care</span><span class="s1">.</span></strong></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">French Bulldogs are not low-maintenance dogs</span></p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">They require patience with training, and daily mental and physical engagement, especially when they're young.<br />They are playful, opinionated, and full of energy, not couch ornaments.<br />Frenchies thrive in homes that understand the breed and are ready for the commitment.</span></p> <p>Additionally, although SUPER cute and so yummy & silly, most of our dogs have come from yucky backyard greeders and so, will 100% need to have owners committed to their unique long-term care, health, and wellbeing.</p> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">Here are just a couple of things that we need to ensure every French Bulldog adopter understands and is comfortable with.</span></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li2"><span class="s1">All Frenchies MUST HAVE A FULL-SERVICE vet and at MINIMUM an ANNUAL vet appointment. Big-box store vets or mobile/discount shot services are just not going to cut it.</span></li> <li class="li2"><span class="s1">Here's the BIG ONE: thanks to their breeding, ALL Frenchie parents have to be ready to manage and IMMEDIATELY treat an episode of IVDD:<a href="https://www.dogsinmotion.com.au/understanding-and-preventing-ivdd-in-french-bulldogs/"><span class="s5">IVDD 411</span></a></span></li> <li class="li2"><span class="s1">All Frenchie parents must be willing to make the time for daily maintenance and grooming: our Frenchies love their spa time and need (at minimum) all of those folds and crevices cleaned that make them so dang cute. It's a sign of your commitment and care.</span></li> <li class="li2"><span class="s1">Bulldog adopters have to be willing to administer eye drops; all those folds make for grumpy eyelids.</span></li> <li class="li2"><span class="s1">Last but not least, all lucky bulldog parents should expect to manage the ongoing cost of all the goodies associated with loving a bulldog: including but not limited to: high-quality food, eye drops, medicated shampoo, monthly heartworm prevention, fun toys, vet care, and endless scritches and cuddles (This last one is free)</span></li> </ul> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">PHEW - that's a list, but these guys are so worth it.
