Rusty's journey hasn't always been easy, and he can be a bit reserved when meeting new people or exploring new places. But don't let his initial shyness fool you! Beneath that cautious exterior is a wonderfully sweet and silly boy who is blossoming beautifully every single day. Witnessing him gain confidence, wag his tail with joy, engage with his toys, and learn to trust is an incredibly rewarding experience. He absolutely adores playing with other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion who can help guide him. Rusty also enjoys the challenge of puzzle toys, the satisfaction of a good chew, and the delight of chicken treats. He's discovering all the fun life has to offer!
Ideal Home
Rusty would do best in an active yet patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. He has done well with other dogs and cats, and would be happiest with older, dog-savvy children who can approach him gently and give him time to warm up.

Training & Support
Rusty is making excellent progress with leash walking, crate training, and potty training. He's a smart cookie and a quick learner. While he can be timid with new people and environments, he responds with avoidance rather than aggression. Patience and positive reinforcement are key to helping him continue to build his confidence.
