Meet Moose! This handsome Great Pyrenees boy is estimated to be around 3 years old and is searching for the loving forever home he truly deserves. After being found as a stray, Moose has shown us just how gentle, loyal, and loving he can be. He loves being around his people and would make an incredible companion for someone who has a kind heart, patience, and experience with large-breed dogs. Like many Great Pyrenees, he forms strong bonds with his family and prefers not to be left alone for long periods, as he experiences some anxiety when separated from those he loves. He does well with other large animals and enjoys their company.

Ideal Home

Moose would thrive in a home with plenty of space to roam, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. He would do best with older, respectful children and a family that understands dog body language and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Moose can be sensitive about being touched on his hindquarters, which may be related to discomfort from previously matted fur or an underlying issue that should be evaluated by a veterinarian. He has not yet received veterinary care or vaccinations since being found, so his future family should be prepared to provide him with a wellness exam and any care he may need.

Training & Support

Moose is potty trained, leash trained, and knows how to sit. He can become overwhelmed at times. With patience, consistency, training, and plenty of love, he has the potential to become an amazing lifelong companion.
