Meet Lady! This sweet girl's story is one of resilience and hope. Lady was found as a stray, emaciated, with signs of having recently nursed puppies and wounds on her face. Sadly, her puppies were never found, and it was discovered that her family had abandoned her. Placed into a loving foster home, Lady began her healing journey. She was found to be heartworm positive but has since successfully completed treatment and is now healthy and ready for her forever home.
Ideal Home
Lady thrives in a home with at least one other dog, as canine companionship brings her confidence and comfort. She needs a low-traffic, calm environment where her adopter can offer patience, consistency, and kindness. A home that understands she needs to move at her own pace will help her feel safe.
Ongoing Health
Lady has completed her heartworm treatment and is now healthy. All our dogs are vet-cleared for transport and arrive spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Lady can be fearful of new environments and slow to warm up to new people. With patience and kindness, she reveals her gentle and sweet nature. She is described as quietly loving once trust is built.
