Lucy

Lucy is a sweet, timid Australian Cattle Dog mix who was born in December 2015. While she might be a little shy at first, once Lucy warms up to you, she'll be your most devoted companion. She's generally well-behaved and has a lot of experience, making her a truly ideal dog for the right home!

Ideal Home

Lucy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. She's generally good with other dogs, but can get nervous if they are too boisterous or in her face. She would likely be happiest as the only dog, or with a calm canine friend. She is curious about cats and has gotten along with them in the past.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is on two medications for incontinence that she takes in the evening. She has no accidents when she has her medication and is very good at letting her foster mom know when she needs to go outside. She also needs to be fed Purina ProPlan urinary food to help prevent stones from forming in her bladder/kidneys.

Training & Support

Lucy is a well-trained senior dog who doesn't need much in the way of basic training. She is house-trained, walks well on a leash, stays off furniture, and doesn't engage in counter surfing or chew on inappropriate items. She is not kenneled during the day as she's very well-behaved, but she is also fine in a kennel.

Transporation

Lucy is located in the Omaha, NE area. Adoptions must be completed in person by the adoptive family. We do not ship or deliver.
