Meet Dolly! This sweet, 5-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix weighs around 70 pounds (and could afford to lose a few). Dolly is truly one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. Her story began with heartbreak when her family surrendered her, claiming they no longer had time for her. This is especially difficult to understand as Dolly was once a registered emotional support animal, providing endless comfort, loyalty, and love to those she trusted. Despite her devotion, she found herself abandoned. But Dolly hasn't let her past dim her beautiful spirit!
This wonderful girl absolutely adores people and attention. She'll happily give you a gentle "Great Pyrenees hug," wrapping her paws around you in the softest, sweetest embrace. Dolly loves to be pampered, brushed, petted, and showered with affection, often rolling over for belly rubs. She's a lower-energy girl who walks beautifully on a leash, preferring a leisurely pace to savor her surroundings. Dolly gets along wonderfully with other dogs, though she'd prefer calmer companions over boisterous puppies. She has also done well with cats and children – Dolly truly loves everyone she meets!
Ideal Home
Dolly's ideal forever home is one where she will be loved unconditionally for the rest of her days. She would thrive in a home with a yard for peaceful roaming and relaxation. Apartment living is not her ideal fit. Because she thrives on companionship, she would do best with someone who is home more often than not. She may whine when you leave, as she has big feelings for her loved ones.
