About Willie

"Meet our very own Shotgun Willie!" This gentle "little" giant has a heart of gold and is known for his calm and serene demeanor. Willie is a great listener and is learning so many new words like come, sit, stay, and outside. When he's not busy napping after exploring his new world or expanding his vocabulary, as a "Toothless dog" you can find him gumming a soft chew toy, or enjoying a healthy snack at the Lick Mat or Woof Party Pupsicle smeared or filled with plain Greek yogurt and canned pumpkin, or dog friendly peanut butter and plain, unsweetened applesauce. He'd have you know that he's the most laid-back, easy-going dog on the entire planet and is the perfect blend of independence and loyalty, making him a wonderful companion for just about any family! Willie and Reba are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Ideal Home

A physically fenced-in yard is required to keep Willie safe. Willie must be adopted with Reba, as they are a bonded pair and love each other very much.

Ongoing Health

Willie is current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), has been neutered, tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, received dental work as needed, is started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and is microchipped.

Training & Support

Prior to being rescued, Willie received limited socialization, so he generally requires extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, he adapts quite quickly.
