Cotton

Cotton is a beautiful girl who began her journey in a challenging hoarding situation. For her first year, she had very little human interaction. She arrived with us fearful, pregnant, and dealing with heartworm. Despite these early hardships, Cotton has shown incredible resilience and grace as she's regained her health. Today, she's spayed, has completed her heartworm treatment, and is eagerly awaiting a home that will cherish her progress. Cotton finds comfort and confidence around other dogs and is wonderfully gentle and respectful with cats. She adores soft napping spots, calm voices, and slow movements. Once she learns to trust, she thrives on ear rubs, belly rubs, and the affection of her chosen humans.

Ideal Home

Cotton is still a sensitive soul and can be a bit skittish. She gets easily overwhelmed by fast movements, loud noises, or chaotic environments. She needs a peaceful and predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. For these reasons, she would do best in a home without children under 15. A yard is also a must, as she loves spending time outdoors and basking in the sun.

Ongoing Health

Cotton has been spayed and has successfully completed her heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Cotton is house-trained, kennel-trained, and leash-trained. She is an expert at being sweet and gentle. While she isn't the most outgoing dog initially, with patience and understanding, she will blossom and show you what true trust looks like. Her full-body wiggles when she's happy will be incredibly rewarding.
