Artie is a fun-loving, high-energy 3-year-old Terrier mix who is always ready for her next adventure! Weighing in at 32 pounds, this spayed female is incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves people. Meeting new friends is one of her favorite things, and she greets strangers with pure excitement and a wagging tail. Artie brings enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes, whether it's a long game of fetch, a run in the yard, or zooming around the house with her favorite toys. She's independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly – the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you moving, and then curl up beside you for snuggles at the end of the day.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus. She has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are important. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion. Artie should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious and can get into things if unsupervised.

Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping in her crate at night and staying crated about 4-6 hours during the day. She may whine a bit but settles quickly. She is protective of her toys but backs off quickly and has never escalated beyond that, also recognizing when another dog is done playing. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. Her ideal home would be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn how to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.

Transportation
Artie is currently located in San Antonio, Texas, and is available to transport out of state to an adopter. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
