Ivar-Foster Home Needed

Ivar is a 6-year-old Poodle, weighing around 12 lbs, who is searching for a patient and understanding family to help him discover a life he's likely never known. Released from a breeding facility, Ivar arrived carrying the emotional weight of his past and is currently quite shut down and unsure of the world around him. While Ivar isn't ready to show the world who he is just yet, he is surrounded by the freedom, kindness, and love that all dogs deserve. Our hope is that, with time, he will begin to enjoy the company of other dogs, gain confidence from their example, and learn that people can be trusted. Every day is a step towards him enjoying life more.

Ideal Home

Ivar will require another friendly, confident dog in his forever home. A canine companion will be essential in helping him navigate new experiences and learn what life as a family dog is all about. Adopters must be 24 years of age and we cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six.

Ivar is timid and shut down due to his background. Progress may come in small steps, measured in moments like a curious glance or a wag of the tail.
