Bear is a sweet boy who may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once he gets comfortable, his happy and joyful personality shines through. He has been described as a confident dog who enjoys making the most of every day. He loves always being near his foster, puts his head into you and then pushes against you, and loves to sleep with a human without stirring all night. He lived with children and did very well with them. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a joyful spirit, and a name impressive enough to have earned two diplomas, Bear may be the perfect fit for your family!
Ideal Home
Bear might do best in a home without cats, as he does like to chase them. As with any new pet, slow and proper introductions to new faces and places are always recommended to help everyone adjust successfully.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns were mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Bear seems to be mostly housetrained and is responding well to training. He knows "sit" and is getting really skilled at waiting to eat until he's told "eat." Bear can be enthusiastic on leash and may pull during walks. Consistent training and positive reinforcement can help Bear continue building good leash manners.
