Meet Dahlia, a 44lb Black Lab Mix with an estimated birthday of 5/5/2023. She's a fun-loving, sweet girl with a heart as big as her puppy energy, always ready for an adventure, a cuddle, or a new friend. Dahlia was found caring for her puppies under a house and was brought to safety just moments before she was to be euthanized. Thanks to a quick-thinking foster, her life was changed forever, and now this happy pup is ready for the forever home she truly deserves. She thrives with companionship and would do best in a home with other animals to play with and learn from. Whether she's zooming around the yard, making new friends at the park, or curling up after a busy day, she brings joy everywhere she goes.

Training & Support
Dahlia is a pro at using a doggy door for potty breaks and is currently learning leash training. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy habits she's working through, including crate training. Plenty of toys are very helpful for her success, as she absolutely loves them and does best when she has enrichment and companionship. She's still young, curious, and learning about the world, so she'll do best with a family excited to continue her training and help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

Transporation
Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and is available to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
