Papi Chulo De La Calle is a quiet gentleman with good looks and a secure spot on the couch. He’s easy company and a joy to be around. Estimated to be around 3 years old and looking very much like an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, Papi is a rescue, so breed and age are our best guess. His foster family tells us he's a well-mannered, medium-energy dog with excellent social skills, lovely house manners, and an easygoing nature. He is crate trained, trustworthy in the home, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on leash. Papi can be a bit reserved when meeting new people, preferring to gather his thoughts with a few sniffs before deciding you're a friend. Once he's comfortable, he shows his sweet and easygoing personality, handling new situations with impressive calm.
Ideal Home
Papi would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy some outdoor time. He can happily join a home with other respectful dogs or be the one and only canine companion. He has shown that he is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Papi is up to date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. He has also received a 12-month heartworm preventative injection.
Training & Support
Papi is crate trained, trustworthy in the home, and walks nicely on leash with gentle guidance.
