About Sawyer

Sawyer is a handsome hound mix, approximately 4-5 years old and weighing around 55 pounds. He's had a tough start in life but has the most amazing demeanor and is truly one of the coolest dogs you'll ever meet! Sawyer is sweet, calm, and incredibly dog-friendly, with a playful spirit. He's also smart, obedient, and has been crate trained, though he's perfectly happy to be left loose in the house as he's not destructive. Sawyer is housebroken, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. He was unfortunately let down by previous people, including his former owner, which led to him contracting heartworms. He's now been treated and is doing well, and he absolutely deserves the best home from here on out!

Ideal Home

Sawyer would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can prance and play. He also needs another dog in the house to be his companion and would do best with older children (10 years and up).

Ongoing Health

Sawyer has been treated for heartworms and is doing well.

Training & Support

Sawyer is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and rides great in the car. He is obedient and not destructive when left loose in the house.
