Lucrecia is a beautiful, approximately 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, weighing around 33 lbs and standing 22 inches tall. She was found wandering the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, and was initially very distrustful, likely due to her stray status and difficult circumstances. Thankfully, she has overcome her initial fears and has blossomed into an intelligent, affectionate, playful, and very active dog. She loves interacting with her foster siblings and enjoys a safe and stable environment. Lucrecia's front paw was injured, but she received treatment and has fully recovered.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. Families experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and those with a strong understanding of rescued animals and their needs are ideal. She requires a home with adults who have experience in dog behavior and training, and who possess high tolerance and patience for rescued pets.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, tested for 4DX and heartworm (negative), and is on monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworms (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained and will require consistent positive reinforcement and patience to learn. Her foster team emphasizes that while they do their best with rescued pets, house-training each one is an immense undertaking given the number of animals in their care. She is an intelligent and eager-to-please dog who will benefit from continued guidance.

Transportation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Transport to the adopter's home address is available. The transport fee is $400.00 and is payable by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
