Meet Louie, a 10-month-old, 30-pound mixed-breed pup with a big heart and a bright future. After arriving from Oklahoma following a difficult hoarding situation, Louie has blossomed into a silly, playful dog who is learning to trust, play, and enjoy life. He loves other dogs and is ready for a patient family who will help him continue building confidence.

Ideal Home

Louie needs another playful, steady, confident dog to help show him the ropes. Because he can be nervous and loves to zoom, his ideal home has space and a securely fenced yard rather than an apartment or unfenced yard. He may take time to warm up, but once he does, he is all in. He is reported to do well with dogs and children under 8.

Training & Support

Louie is learning what leashes are all about and is working on crate training. He is smart and picking things up quickly. His foster mom, who is also the head trainer, and his helper dog have helped him learn to trust and play.
