Dagger is a 6.5-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix, estimated to be born in January 2026. She currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. Dagger is a fearless and affectionate pup with a playful spirit and a heart full of cuddles. She has a distinctive dagger-shaped marking on her blaze and has traded her "shark-puppy teeth" for sweet love nibbles. Dagger is potty trained and is growing into a confident, affectionate, and well-rounded dog. She is an athlete at heart, enjoying leaps and climbing, but her favorite pastime is curling up in her person's lap for affection. Dagger is social, curious, and always ready for an adventure, making her a perfect blend of an adventurous spirit and a loyal companion.
Ideal Home
Dagger is friendly with strangers and enjoys playing with other dogs. She has been around children and has done well. We prefer a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor and guide her, but if you don't have a dog, we'd love to hear your plan for continued socialization. Because Dagger is still young, we prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Dagger is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
Dagger is potty trained but is still an adolescent and learning about the world. She needs a family committed to reinforcing good manners, building her confidence, and helping her continue to mature. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help her thrive. Continued socialization is crucial for her development.
