Gunnar

Meet Gunnar, a handsome two-year-old male Border Collie who is as sweet as he is cute! Gunnar spent most of his first two years in a backyard with his siblings and didn't have much socialization. However, he's been learning a lot in his foster home and is ready to find his forever person. He's low to medium energy and truly enjoys being with his person. He's happy to relax on his dog bed at home, but he's also always ready for a walk or a car ride! He's already house-broken and, with a little patience, will warm up to become a devoted "Velcro dog."

Ideal Home

Gunnar would do well in a quieter home that has ample time to spend with him. He longs for a gentle sidekick who will be his person. He cannot be left alone in a chain-link fenced yard, as he has a history of escaping. He is equally timid around males, females, and children, so a home environment where he can set the pace and isn't pressured too quickly will be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Gunnar is neutered and vaccinated. No ongoing health issues were noted.

Training & Support

Gunnar is still learning and can be fearful when pressured too much, too quickly. He needs an adopter who is willing to let him set the pace and build trust slowly. He has been good with the resident huskies in his foster home and is afraid of cats, avoiding them.
