Meet Emily, a vibrant one and a half year-old Belgian Malinois and Labrador Retriever mix with a coat as glossy and black as midnight, revealing a gorgeous hint of brown underneath when the light catches it just right. She came to us from a local shelter, needing a bit more exposure to find her perfect forever family, and she's been shining ever since. Emily is a social butterfly, incredibly dog friendly, people friendly, and exceptionally cat friendly! She's currently living her best life in a foster home with multiple dogs and cats, fitting in beautifully. While there was a brief moment of figuring out the pack dynamics, everyone gets along wonderfully now.
Ideal Home
Emily has that classic young Belgian Malinois energy, so she'll absolutely thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she has plenty of space to run, zoom, and play. Having a canine pal or two to match her play style would be a fantastic bonus. While she hasn't been specifically tested with very young children, Emily adores affection and is incredibly welcoming to everyone she meets. Given her high energy, we think she'd do best with older children who can handle her enthusiastic play style without being accidentally bowled over.

Emily is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventative care.
Training & Support
Emily is already a star when it comes to house training! She's still perfecting her leash manners, but she's making great progress and will benefit from continued gentle guidance. One thing to note: Emily LOVES her toys, but she also loves to completely de-stuff and destroy them. Be prepared for the occasional fluffy remnant of a plushie! Keeping a steady rotation of durable, heavy-duty chew toys on hand will be key to her happiness and your furniture's survival.
