Piper

Piper is a delightful nine-year-old mixed breed, weighing around 70 pounds. She's a sweet and well-trained companion who absolutely adores her people and thrives on being close. Her favorite spot is right by your side, curled up in her signature cozy "donut" shape. Piper loves a good "snifari," where she patiently waits while treats are hidden before eagerly sniffing them out. She also enjoys leisurely walks, taking her time to explore every scent along the way. And yes, her ears are incredibly sharp, especially for the sound of cucumber slices being prepared!

Ideal Home

Piper would do best in a calm, adult-only home environment. She is not comfortable around young children and can become anxious and bark when exposed to them. Her experience with cats is unknown, but she may have a strong prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Piper is healthy and up to date on all her vet care. She currently receives a fiber supplement to support her anal glands.

Training & Support

Piper is housetrained and has a good understanding of basic commands like sit, down, come, stay, off, and paw. She walks nicely on leash but can be reactive to other dogs when they are within 15-20 feet. Her family has managed this by maintaining distance. She's calm when left alone for a full workday and doesn't bark or become destructive. She's also comfortable with baths, brushing, nail trims, and vet visits. She may be anxious in the car, pacing and whining, and has experienced motion sickness on longer trips.
