BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a sweet, affectionate personality. He loves to snuggle, stay close to his people, play with squeaky toys, and show off his fetching skills. This big, low-shedding boy enjoys outdoor adventures and settles down happily after exploring.

Baxter was rescued after being abandoned and is now thriving in foster care. He is looking for a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along well with other dogs, especially female dogs. He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without them is preferred. Because he is large and does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit. He would enjoy a family that likes outdoor activities as well as relaxed evenings at home.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. He receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He is scheduled for a veterinary checkup to obtain a health certificate before traveling.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained, and he is learning to walk on a leash. He is not destructive and has not been a regular chewer. He sits calmly for baths and enjoys drinking from a garden hose.
