A little about them
Thor—also known as Big Handsome or Bubba—is a 120-pound Great Pyrenees and a big love bug ready for a forever home. He enjoys food, car rides, meeting people, walks, belly rubs, and brushing. He dislikes fireworks, water, and enclosed stairways.
Ideal Home
Thor would do best in an indoor-only home without cats. He enjoys other dogs after a proper introduction, including his approximately 20-pound foster sibling, but may need corrections when his energy gets too high because he is not always aware of his size and strength. He should have limited time on cement surfaces and avoid aggressive exercise.
Ongoing Health
Thor had surgeries in 2023 to correct torn CCLs in both knees and has had no mobility problems since. He has environmental allergies, a lifelong condition that is currently managed with medication and closely monitored. His adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and preventatives.
Training & Support
Thor is house-trained and will receive a free basic obedience training class at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. He enjoys walks and car rides, and benefits from proper introductions with dogs.
