Hiya friends! My name is TACO, and I'm a handsome McNab / Shepherd Mix, approximately 3 years old. I weigh 59 lbs and stand about 70 cm tall. I was surrendered to a boarding facility when I was a puppy and sadly, my previous family never returned. While I've been well-loved and had fun with my doggie friends at the facility, I'm now patiently waiting for my forever family to find me! I'm a friendly, affectionate, and playful pup who absolutely loves people and getting pets. I'm also very food-motivated, which is a great asset for training! I'm used to sharing meals with other dogs and haven't shown any resource guarding. My energetic and intelligent nature means I would thrive in an active home that understands the needs of working breeds. I enjoy playtime and outdoor adventures and would do best in a home with some space to run, or with an adopter committed to providing plenty of exercise.
Ideal Home
An active family that can provide regular physical exercise, mental enrichment, and consistent, positive training. I'd thrive in a home with room to run, or with a very active adopter. I am likely not suited for apartment living. I do well with dogs of all sizes.
Ongoing Health
I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will be tested for Heartworm and other concerns before traveling. Please note that dental work or cleaning may be required after adoption, and this would be the adopter's financial responsibility.
Training & Support
I'm a work in progress when it comes to leash manners and housetraining. I can get a little excited and pull on the leash due to all the interesting things to see and sniff. I'll need an adopter willing to work with me on leash training and a consistent housetraining routine with frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement. My food motivation will be a great asset in my training journey!
