Mavis is a 2-year-old, spayed female Shepherd mix who weighs 55 pounds. She's a gentle, easygoing sweetheart ready to bring calm, love, and quiet joy into your home. Mavis was found as a stray and taken in by a kind teacher who worked with a rescue to get her to safety. She's been thriving in foster care ever since!

Ideal Home

Mavis has a low-to-moderate energy level and a naturally calm demeanor. She enjoys daily walks and relaxing by your side. She loves other dogs and thrives in social environments, getting along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. Mavis walks well on a leash and is easily redirected. She may startle if approached suddenly from behind, so a calm, predictable environment is best. Given her interest in squirrels, a cat-free home would likely be the best fit.

Training & Support

Mavis is fully house-trained, does well in a crate, and has great manners when left alone. She is not destructive. Mavis is smart and knows how to sit. She is eager to continue learning and enjoys catching treats. While she may be a bit shy with new people at first, she warms up quickly and enjoys affection.
