Spike is a smart, silly, playful, and happy goofball who is incredibly grateful to be alive! He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas, where he received treatment for heartworms and began to experience life with friends and proper care. Now, his greatest wish is to find a loving family to call his own. Spike is good with other dogs, but he is a dominant boy. He would do best as an only dog or with a submissive canine companion. As a Husky, Spike is an active dog who needs a family knowledgeable about the breed, as they are known escape artists and shed a lot! He dreams of leaving the Texas heat behind and would thrive in a cooler climate. Spike is ready to be adopted and bring his joyful spirit into your home!
