Penny is a sweet 5-year-old spayed female with a big heart and an even bigger personality! She was surrendered to Crosspointe Animal Hospital due to medical issues, but after thorough testing, doctors discovered she has an autoimmune disease that is now being managed with daily medication. Penny is doing wonderfully and has even gained over 20 pounds recently! She's an energetic girl who absolutely loves tennis balls and is incredibly food-motivated. While she can be a bit shy at first, once she feels safe and loved, her loyalty is unwavering.

Ideal Home

Penny would thrive in a home where her energy can be met and where she can continue to learn basic manners. She needs to be the only dog in the household to feel her most comfortable and confident.

Ongoing Health

Penny has an autoimmune disease that requires daily medication. She has been responding very well to treatment.

Training & Support

Penny is food-motivated, which is a great asset for training! She is continuing to learn basic manners and would benefit from a consistent routine and positive reinforcement.

• Due to our requirement for a home visit, we are only able to adopt to homes in the Northern VA / Maryland / DC metro area.
• We have adoption events every Saturday from 12-3 p.m. Not all dogs can attend every event, so please contact us to confirm Penny's attendance.
