Waylon is a 65 lb, neutered male Staffie mix who is a little over a year old. He is a big, goofy, and lovable dog who carries himself with the carefree enthusiasm of a much smaller pup. Waylon's personality is a fun mix of playful, curious, silly, and affectionate. He enjoys being around his people and bounces through life with a joyful, slightly goofy energy. Waylon's greatest love in life is tennis balls, and he could happily spend hours chasing, carrying, or showing off his prized ball. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys playtime and activity. Once he's had a chance to burn off some energy, he settles nicely and becomes a calmer companion.
Ideal Home
Waylon would thrive in an active home that appreciates his goofy personality, enjoys playtime and activity, and is ready for a big-hearted, slightly derpy companion. He would do well in a home with children of all ages, though an active home that understands big, goofy dogs will likely be the best fit. He does well with other dogs and enjoys high-energy play with canine friends his size. He would enjoy having a playful sibling, but it is not required.
Ongoing Health
Waylon is generally healthy. Like many dogs, storms and thunder can make him a little nervous, but CBD chews help him relax during those moments.
Training & Support
Waylon is house-trained and does beautifully in his crate, typically sleeping through the night. He walks well on leash once he's burned off a little energy, though he can zig-zag a bit when he's feeling extra curious. He has no issues with food, toys, or resource guarding. When he spots other dogs on leash, he may give a curious stare or a little boof, but he is generally friendly and interested in meeting them. He may greet new people with a curious little boof before warming up.
