Vega

Vega is a 6-year-old, 70-pound brindle and white Boxer who is looking for an active and loving forever home. He's an incredibly smart, adventurous, and eager-to-please boy who thrives on playtime, running, and exploring. Vega is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, making him ready for his new adventure. His foster mom notes his high drive and believes he'd excel in dog sports.

Ideal Home

Vega needs a dedicated owner who can provide him with plenty of exercise and adventures, as he is definitely not a couch potato. He is dog-selective and requires slow introductions to other dogs. Due to his high prey drive, he should not be placed in a home with cats or other small animals. He does well with children, but older kids are recommended due to his size and energy level.

Training & Support

Vega can be crate reactive and exhibits barrier frustration, but he is making significant progress in these areas. He also needs further training with leash walking, as he tends to pull hard. Tools like a gentle leader may be beneficial.
