My name is Ginger and it is fitting in many ways. I have beautiful, soft, gingery fur and I'm a little ginger spicy! I'm an active girl, still learning my manners, and always testing the bounds of right vs wrong. I'm a puppy after all. My favorite pastimes are playing fetch, wrestling with my Dachshund friend, and trying to catch that pesky water hose stream. I love to play with other dogs and would fare best with ones tolerant and accepting of my energy. I'm a super snuggler in between zoom sessions, so kids would be fine too. I even grew up around cats and chickens, but I like to bark and pounce at them to play, play, play! Continued positive reinforcement and redirection should help manage my exuberance with smaller animals. I am a very smart girl and highly food motivated, so I learn quickly. My foster mom is working on some fun tricks, and I've mastered crate training. I'm also doing well with house training and usually only have accidents overnight, small puppy bladder and all. I am so ready for my fur-ever home and a family to spice things up with!
Ideal Home
Ginger would do well in a home with other dogs that can keep up with her energy. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would thrive with a tolerant and accepting canine companion. She also enjoys kids and is a great snuggler between her active play sessions. She grew up around cats and chickens, but may need continued positive reinforcement to manage her playful pouncing and barking with smaller animals.

Training & Support
Ginger is a smart and food-motivated puppy who is learning quickly! She has mastered crate training and is doing well with house training, with occasional overnight accidents. Continued positive reinforcement and redirection will be beneficial, especially with her playful tendencies towards smaller animals.
