Meet Amelia, an absolutely stunning approximately 1.5-year-old Sable German Shepherd Dog. This sweet girl is a dream for someone who loves this breed. Typical to GSDs, she is all about her people. She's happy to say hello and interact with everyone, but she always tends to make her way back to her people. Amelia is an affectionate girl, who's happy to wiggle over for all the rubs. She's the type of dog that you can take anywhere and everywhere. She's a pro at car rides and adjusts quickly to just about any environment. She's been on all sorts of adventures with her foster mom – to work, visiting friend's homes, and various stores. She'd rather be with you than anywhere else; she's just a very versatile dog!
Amelia is unbelievably smart and motivated. She already has a library of commands down and would thrive with a family interested in continued training. She gets along extremely well with every other dog she's met, and she'd love to head off to a new home with a canine friend. She even attended a dog playgroup last weekend, where she was an absolute gem. Amelia's favorite game is fetch – this girl will chase after that ball as long as you're willing to throw it. She's mastered bringing it back and dropping it to make your life easier. She'd make a great hiking or walking buddy. She's not over the top with energy, but she is a young Shepherd who will require regular exercise (she is happy to lounge around on the dog beds at the end of the day). She's done fine so far with the dog-savvy kitties in her foster home, and she'd likely be fine in a home with kids. Amelia is crate trained and house-trained.

Amelia would thrive in an active home that can provide her with continued training and regular exercise. She enjoys the company of other dogs and could do well with a canine friend. She is also good with cats and likely to be fine with children.
