Carmilla

Carmilla is a spirited Doberman mix with a docked tail and a coarse coat, weighing in at about 50 pounds and estimated to be around 5 years old. She was found as a stray near the airport in Houston and, after a few weeks on the streets, was thankfully rescued. Having been exposed to horses and chickens in her foster home, she's clearly adaptable and enjoys the freedoms of rural living. Carmilla's resilience shines through; she has scars on her head and worn front teeth, suggesting a past where she had to be resourceful. Her past has also included having puppies, but she has since been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She tested positive for hookworms and heartworms upon arrival, but has since been treated and is now testing negative.

Carmilla is an adventurous soul who prefers action-packed activities to a quiet life. She'd thrive in a home that can offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures, whether it's exploring the countryside or tackling new terrains.

Carmilla has been treated for hookworms and heartworms and is now testing negative. She has scars on her head and worn front teeth, which are common findings for dogs who have had to chew on hard objects.

Training & Support

Carmilla is house-trained. She has been exposed to horses and chickens and has a history of being good with children under 8 and children 8 and up.
