Comet

Comet is a 3-year-old, neutered male, hound/retriever mix weighing 56 pounds. He's a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to please and is always looking for a cuddle. Comet was saved from the county shelter in San Antonio after being rescued from the streets and is now thriving in a foster home. He has a balanced playstyle, enjoys running zoomies, and has shown no food or resource aggression. He's also doing well with indoor cats and kids.

Ideal Home

Comet would be happiest in a home where he has a canine sibling to snuggle and play with. While he does well with cats and children, we recommend a home with kids aged 10 years or older, or those who can understand and respect animal behavior cues. Comet can be a bit wary of men, so patience and consistency will be key in helping him feel comfortable.

Ongoing Health

Comet is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Comet is fully house, crate, and leash trained. He sleeps through the night in his kennel without whining, doesn't pull on the leash, and will alert you when he needs to go potty. He doesn't appear to have separation anxiety, but he does enjoy tasting things when unsupervised, so he is crated when left alone. Comet is a quick learner and eager to please, making him easy to train.

Comet is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up.
