Artie is a fun-loving, high-energy 3-year-old Terrier mix who is always ready for her next adventure! She weighs 32 pounds and is spayed. Artie brings enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes, greeting strangers with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She's incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves people.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus! While she has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, slow introductions are important. She can be a little on edge at first and is protective of her toys, but she backs off quickly and has never escalated beyond that. She also recognizes when another dog is done playing. Artie has not been around cats and hasn't spent time with children yet, but her friendly and affectionate personality suggests she could do well with proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house trained and crate trained, sleeping in her crate at night and staying crated about 4-6 hours during the day. She may whine a bit but settles. She should continue to be crated when left alone, as she is curious and can get into things on counters if unsupervised. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. Her ideal home would be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn how to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.
