Meet Queenie, a three-year-old Retriever mix who's a true gem! She's about 55 lbs of pure personality, sass, and affection. Queenie may have lost the use of one eye, but her zest for life is stronger than ever! She's a playful, charming, and occasionally diva-esque lady who is ready to find her forever family. Queenie loves her walks, though she might decide to take a little break to "flop" down mid-stroll – it's all part of her unique charm! While she's not one for typical toy play, she absolutely adores wrestling with her doggy friends and soaking up all the human affection you can give. She can be a bit shy meeting new people, but it never takes long for her to warm up and request those glorious belly rubs. She also has a stubborn streak, especially when it's time to put on her leash, but that just adds to her endearing character!
Ideal Home
Queenie would thrive in a home with a large yard where she can explore to her heart's content. An active family who enjoys hiking or running would be a perfect match for her energetic spirit. Because Queenie can be curious and has a knack for escaping containment if not properly secured, a home that can provide a secure environment is essential. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for everyone.

Training & Support
Queenie is generally good with other dogs and enjoys playgroups. While she's not toy-obsessed, she is a big fan of snuggles and affection. She has a bit of a stubborn streak when it comes to leashing up and can sometimes be a digger or escape artist if her curiosity gets the best of her, though she doesn't tend to run off. Gentle guidance and positive reinforcement will help her continue to thrive.
