King is an easy-going, friendly boy with a smile that will melt your heart! He's a toy enthusiast who enjoys a good game of tug-o-war, but he's also content to entertain himself nearby while you go about your day. King is a steady, grounded companion who enjoys sharing space and a good sniff around the yard. He's observant, friendly towards new people without being overly demanding of attention, and appreciates affection when it's offered. King is confident but thoughtful with other dogs, offering happy greetings before settling into his own quiet companionship. He's not much of a player, but he's happy to share his toys and generally prefers a more aloof demeanor after initial introductions.

Ideal Home

King would thrive in a home with a yard where he can explore and enjoy his independence. He is not suited for apartment living at this time.

Ongoing Health

King is on a journey to gain weight and is expected to settle in closer to 55-60 lbs.

Training & Support

King has basic leash manners but will need continued guidance and consistency, especially when he sees something that catches his interest. He would benefit from continued practice and structure to help him manage his strength on leash.

King is located in Texas and can be transported to various drop-off locations nationwide, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A surcharge of $87 applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
