Sugar Reed is a playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly 5-month-old pup who weighs about 20 pounds. We believe she's a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess! She loves playing with her siblings and taking naps, living the classic puppy life of eat, sleep, play, repeat! She's one of the most desperate pups needing a home due to high euthanasia rates in her area, so adopting her truly saves a life and opens up space for another in need. Sugar is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Sugar will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. We require a commitment to crate train your new puppy immediately upon arrival to help with potty training, energy management, and overall development. Our on-site trainers work with all our dogs on crate training, potty training, and leash walking, and foster families participate in group training and socialization playgroups.

- You will have the opportunity to meet your new puppy through a video call before finalizing the adoption.
- The adoption fee is $1,000.00, plus an $87 surcharge for transportation. This fee includes all vetting, transport, a Martingale collar, and a health certificate.
- Adopters also receive special perks including discounts on Embark DNA tests, 30-day pet insurance with Trupanion, a free online dog training session with GoodPup, discounts on in-person dog training through Rover Training, discounts on Fetch dog food, coupons for Petco, discounts on Dr. Cuddles products, and discounted heartworm, flea, and dewormer medications.

Transportation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup locations in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
