Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who has overcome a difficult start in a hoarding situation. While she was cared for, she lacked the socialization needed to thrive in a typical home environment. Despite this, Raquel is a sweet girl with a big heart who is eager to learn and trust. She can be a little overwhelmed by new experiences, but with a little time and patience, she settles in and shows her true, loving nature. Raquel is making wonderful progress and is continuously gaining confidence.

Ideal Home

Raquel would benefit from a home with a securely fenced yard and a confident, friendly resident dog to help her learn and feel more secure. Due to her tendency to startle easily and her ongoing confidence-building journey, a home with children over 10 years old is recommended. She is good with other dogs and cats.

Ongoing Health

Raquel is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Raquel is still learning about indoor living, leash walking, and everyday household activities due to her past experiences. She is not a difficult dog, but rather inexperienced and a little uncertain. Patience, routine, and consistency will be key to her continued success.
