Harvee

Harvee is an easygoing, affectionate lab mix, approximately 7 years old and 50 pounds, who would make an incredible family companion. He's great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and has a calm, laid-back personality. Whether it's hanging out in the yard, going for a stroll, or simply relaxing beside you, Harvee is happy just being part of the family. Harvee is housetrained, not a picky eater at all, does great in the car and is a pretty typical leash walker - great on leash until he sees a strange dog and then gets a bit excited but easy to manage. Harvee almost lost his life simply because his family "didn't have time for him anymore." Thankfully, the veterinary team saw what we see – a wonderful dog who deserved a second chance. Harvee's story could have ended very differently. Instead, he's been given another chance.

Ideal Home

Harvee would love a home without cats, as he thinks they are far too much fun to chase.

Ongoing Health

Harvee does have hypothyroidism, but it's easily managed with medication and doesn't stop him from living a happy, normal life. The vet office he was surrendered to also provided him with a much-needed dental, leaving him with only 6 teeth. Harvee had mouth ulcers from an allergy to the tartar in his mouth.

Training & Support

Harvee is housetrained and a good leash walker, though he can get a bit excited when he sees other dogs. This is easy to manage.
