Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 60 pounds. He's a loyal and loving companion who enjoys a good balance of playtime and cuddles. Zac was rescued from a county shelter and underwent FHO surgery on a back leg, which has healed well and requires no further medical attention. He's a house-trained and crate-trained boy who loves being near his people and will often gaze lovingly into your eyes. Zac can be quite the conversationalist, especially if dinner is running late, and his vocal personality is sure to keep you smiling! He enjoys toys, treats, and has shown no signs of resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys the company of other dogs and seems happiest when he has a canine friend or his people nearby. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he would do well with a family willing to teach him not to jump up when excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from FHO surgery on a back leg and requires no ongoing medical care or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. His foster suggests that continued training to prevent jumping up when excited would be beneficial.
