Meet Fantasma! This sweet boy, whose name means "ghost" in Spanish, is anything but invisible. His rescue story is truly unforgettable; he was abandoned, painfully thin, missing patches of fur, and clearly unfamiliar with love. Even in his toughest times, he found comfort by staying close to other dogs, quietly seeking solace in their company.

Today, Fantasma has blossomed into a confident and loving companion. He runs and plays with enthusiasm, is great on the leash, and has become a volunteer favorite. He cherishes human affection and, while he doesn't demand attention, once you notice him, you're sure to fall in love. Fantasma is ready to shine in his forever home.

Transporation

Fantasma is located in Nanaimo, BC. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. If a Canadian flight companion is unavailable during summer months, Fantasma may fly into the US and can be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border. Volunteers have successfully assisted with border pickups, making this a great option to ensure adoptions continue smoothly.
