Oro has been waiting long enough - and the right person is going to feel it the moment they meet him.
This handsome Lab/AmStaff mix is the kind of dog who settles in beside you on the couch after a walk and exhales like he's finally home. He's calm, affectionate, loyal, and genuinely sweet with the humans he trusts. Oro has been in foster care for a while, and he deserves a home that's truly his. He's great at being a devoted, loving companion, leash walks, snuggling, and thriving in a quiet, predictable environment.
Ideal Home
Oro needs a solo-dog household only and should be the only pet in the home. He also has a strong prey drive, so no cats or small animals. Oro can react to children on scooters or bikes, so a home without young children, or with older kids who understand dog body language, is the best fit. An adult-only or older-kids household with no other pets, a patient and experienced dog person who appreciates a calm senior companion, and someone who enjoys low-key walks and high-quality couch time would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Oro has been diagnosed with GI inflammation and is doing well on a prescription diet. His new family will need to maintain that diet – no table scraps or food switches. He also requires a middle-of-the-night potty break while his gut continues to heal, which is likely temporary. Oro comes fully vetted.
Training & Support
Oro can be reactive to runners and cyclists on walks. He wears a muzzle in public settings, which keeps everyone safe and lets him enjoy the world. This is a management tool, not a punishment, and it's already part of his routine.
