Jeffery

Jeffery is a 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs approximately 90-95lbs. He's a gentle giant with people and loves to cuddle on the couch while watching movies. Jeffery was found dumped at the Dallas shelter and appears to have been a "junkyard dog" in his past. He's a crate and potty-trained sweetheart who knows his commands and responds gently if you raise your voice, backing up and sitting beside you. He is up-to-date on all his shots and is heartworm negative.

Ideal Home

Jeffery would do best in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children aged 12 and up. He needs to be the only dog in the household, as he does not like other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is questionable. He enjoys leisurely walks and lounging around, making him a great companion for quiet nights in, but he's not suited for running or hiking adventures. He would also not be a dog park dog. Absolutely no tie-outs or electric fences.

Ongoing Health

Jeffery is up-to-date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Jeffery is crate trained and potty trained. He is responsive to gentle correction during walks. He would not be a dog park dog.
