Nira is a thoughtful heart and a chase queen! She's a sweet girl who takes a moment to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, her loving and playful side truly shines. Nira is wonderfully dog-oriented and gains confidence from canine companionship. She enjoys playful chasing and is happy to entertain herself with toys – stuffies are a particular favorite! While she can be a little vocal during play, it's all in good fun. She needs calm introductions and can be overwhelmed by new environments or unfamiliar faces, so a quieter home that values patience and slow trust-building would be ideal. Treats are a great motivator for her and help her feel comfortable and confident.
Ideal Home
Nira would thrive in a home with a yard and another dog. She needs adopters who are patient, consistent, and respectful of her need for space. She is not a candidate for apartment or city living and would prefer to be a homebody dog rather than accompany you on outings. She does well with kids, loving the 11 and 13-year-olds in her foster home. Nira will need a cat-free home as she tends to chase cats.
Ongoing Health
Nira is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with a booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Nira is house and crate trained. She enjoys playing and interacting with her foster family. Treats are a big motivator for her and can go a long way in helping her feel comfortable and confident.
