Roo is a spirited and intelligent cattle dog mix who is eager to join her forever family. She embodies all the wonderful traits of her breed: loyal, active, and always up for an adventure! At an estimated 4 months old and weighing 19lbs as of July 10th, she's got a lot of love and energy to share. Roo thrives when she's involved in everything her humans do and is looking for a home that can keep up with her smarts and drive.
Ideal Home
Roo needs an experienced cattle dog owner who understands the physical and mental exercise this breed requires. She is not a good fit for first-time dog owners or apartment living; a home with a fenced yard is a must. She would absolutely blossom with another playful, energetic dog who can match her enthusiasm and provide a canine playmate.
Ongoing Health
Roo is mostly house-trained and fully crate-trained. While she's not initially thrilled about going into her crate, she calms down quickly once inside and does well. She is not a destructive dog, especially when her need for exercise and mental stimulation is met.
Training & Support
Cattle dog experience is required for Roo's adoption. Continued training and enrichment will help her reach her full potential and become an incredibly loyal companion.
