A little about them
Daisy is a joyful, curious Shepherd/Lab mix puppy who loves following her people, cuddling on the couch, and making friends with cats. She is adjusting well in foster care and is eager to learn when rewards are involved.
Ideal Home
Daisy needs an experienced, active adopter with plenty of time, patience, structure, daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation. Her adult routine is expected to include substantial morning exercise, potty-break walks, and brain games. An adult-only home or a home with children ages 8 and up is recommended. She is friendly with strangers, good with other dogs, and appears comfortable with cats, but she is still mouthy and rambunctious as a puppy.
Ongoing Health
Daisy weighs 8 pounds as of October 1, and her estimated full-grown size is about 45 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, and was treated with dewormer upon intake. Because she is under four months old, her adopter will need to complete her DHPP vaccine series and provide her rabies vaccine at 16 weeks.
Training & Support
Daisy is learning potty training and leash manners. She is comfortable in her crate, may whine briefly when first left alone, and settles fairly quickly. She is working on chewing appropriately and usually responds to correction for jumping. Rewards-based professional training is strongly encouraged from the beginning.
