Hi there! My name is Caramel, though some of my favorite people call me Caramella. I'm a sweet, playful, and cuddly Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at a petite 11.9lbs as of June 3rd, 2026. My estimated birthday is April 8th, 2026, making me a bundle of puppy energy!
I'll admit, I can be a little shy when I first meet new people or encounter new things. It can be a bit scary sometimes, but with a little patience, some kind words, and gentle scratches, my true personality shines through! Once I know you're my friend, I absolutely adore attention. Belly rubs, ear scratches, cuddles, and hearing how adorable I am? Yes, please! I have so much love to give and can't wait to share it with my forever family. Like any puppy, my days are filled with fun: carrying toys, wrestling with my brother, exploring interesting discoveries, and then enjoying a well-deserved nap. I'm also a smart cookie! I'm doing great with crate training and often head into my crate on my own when it's nap or bedtime. I'm also learning my potty manners and am pretty good at using my puppy pads. More than anything, I'm looking for a family who will help me continue building my confidence and show me all the wonderful things life has to offer. Transportation
Caramel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and pickup locations may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
