Meet Freckles! She's a 1 year and 7-month-old Cattle Dog/Pit mix with the most adorable red freckles and a heart full of potential. Freckles is a silly and smart girl who is secretly a snugglebug, but she needs a little time to trust new people and places. Once she feels comfortable, she'll be your most loyal companion, a total lap dog, and will shower you with kisses! She's also obsessed with treats and toys, and she's already professionally trained in basic commands like sit, down, stay, and come. She even waits politely for her food and is crate trained and house-ready!

Ideal Home

Freckles needs a secure fenced yard, and she would do best in a home without children, as they can be too scary for her. She also needs a home without cats. She might be okay with a respectful, calm dog friend, but forward or boisterous dogs are very scary for her. Ideally, her new family will have experience with herding breeds or other high-energy dogs. She's looking for an adventure buddy who can provide her with plenty of enrichment and guidance.

Freckles is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Freckles is professionally trained in basic commands and is crate and house-ready. Her main need is patience and understanding as she adjusts to new people and environments. With kindness and consistency, she will blossom into a devoted companion.
