Valora

Valora is a beautiful and intelligent girl who came into rescue as a feral cat. She had no prior experience with human interaction and her adjustment period was challenging. With the guidance of her foster mom and the help of other canine friends, Valora has made incredible progress. She's learned to trust and even enjoys cuddles and games like peek-a-boo with her foster mom. While she's not yet a "normal" dog and is still fearful of certain objects and situations, she's eager to please once she feels comfortable and has a routine. Valora sleeps on the bed at night and enjoys snuggling with her foster family.

Ideal Home

A home with a 6ft tall fenced yard is required. Valora would also benefit from having a playful dog companion to help her continue her socialization. A dedicated owner who can provide consistent training and socialization is essential for her continued progress. She may never be comfortable with leashed walks, dog boarding facilities, or strangers petting her.

Ongoing Health

Valora has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Valora is still working on leash training and is fearful of collars and slip leads. She also needs continued socialization and training to help her feel more comfortable with new experiences and people. Her kennel is her safe place, and treats can help her warm up to new visitors.
