Leo

Meet Leo, our wonderfully spirited 1-year-old, 57lb Red Heeler mix! Leo has a heart as big as his adorable ears and a personality that shines, even though he is deaf. He doesn't let his hearing impairment slow him down one bit; he's a bundle of love, energy, and fun! Leo is a playful companion who absolutely adores a good game of fetch, tug-of-war, and will happily chew on his bones for hours. He's incredibly affectionate and friendly towards other dogs and strangers. He even has a special fondness for horses and has been wonderful around them in his foster home! Leo enjoys car rides, is a trooper during bath time, and walks well on a leash, though he can get a little excited and pull sometimes.

Ideal Home

Leo's playful energy might make him best suited for families with older children, but he is gentle enough that he'd likely get along great with kids of all ages. He's looking for a loving home ready for a loyal, fun-loving best friend who understands his unique needs.

Ongoing Health

Leo is a healthy young pup. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Leo walks well on a leash but can get excited and pull occasionally. He is house-trained. Because Leo is deaf, his new family should be prepared to learn and use visual cues for training and communication.
