Canelo

I'm Canelo, a 3-year-old, 67-pound boy who's still learning that the world isn’t as scary as it feels right now. The shelter environment has been really overwhelming for me, and I often freeze up, hide, or flinch when people try to interact. But I’m trying! I take treats gently, and I’ll accept soft pets in my kennel when I feel safe. I'm showing little signs of hope, and my kennel tech says I’m much easier to handle once I’m out of the shelter. I just need space, kindness, and time to come back to myself. If you’re patient, gentle, and willing to go slow, I’d love a chance to learn what trust feels like.
